Steven Krauskopf, P.E.

Managing Partner

Steven, a San Antonio native, is one of the co-founders and Principals of KFW. He grew up in the North Central area—the very same territory that became KFW’s first headquarters. Steven is a proud Longhorn and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He worked with local civil engineering firms before taking the leap and forming KFW Engineers in 2006 with his friends and co-founders, Craig Fletcher and George Weron. Together, they established KFW in Steven’s parents’ kitchen where they worked on projects from the dining room table and laid the groundwork to build the Company into the 100+ employee firm it is today.

Alongside his co-founders, Steven is a Managing Partner at KFW Engineers & Surveying and manages our Commercial Development Department. Steven takes pride in the way that KFW has large firm resources, but still operates one-on-one between the Partners, Project Managers, and our Clients. As KFW continues to grow, it maintains a “small firm” mentality through personal interaction between our Clients and the Partners of our firm.

 Steven loves to spend quality time with his wife, Dawn, and two kids, Guy and Ana. He attends his son’s baseball games at McAllister Park and his daughter’s dance recitals year round. He enjoys snow skiing, hiking, and fishing in the summer with his family and friends.
